Artika is looking for a Buyer / Planner who will be responsible for providing statistical forecasts and accurate targets using planned sales orders, customer contacts and intercompany standing orders. Reporting to the Director, Logistics and Supply Chain, this individual will analyze and maintain accurate rolling demand and supply plans while monitoring sales to ensure availability. In addition, he/she will be responsible for communicating results to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Generating statistical forecast reports;
  • Maintaining documentation and operating procedures for supply processes;
  • Conducting current and future forecasting analysis;
  • Analyze and uphold accurate and detailed rolling supply plans while monitoring sales to ensure product availability;
  • Manage inventory targets making recommendations about changes to inventory targets based on changes in demand or market trends;
  • Effectively communicate on a timely basis with internal department;
  • Coordinate necessary action plans with respective departments;
  • Collaborate with functional experts in order to facilitate and improve inventory best practices;
  • Generate volumetric budget plan(s) using sales history, as well as inputs from Marketing and Sales;
  • Drive the daily diagnostics of inventory and determine root causes of errors;
  • Ensure that plans are followed as expected and develop corrective actions in conjunction with other related departments when variances are discovered;
  • Maintain a positive relationship with outside suppliers and clients;
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field;
  • A Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Planning;
  • Advanced analytical skill;
  • Good understanding of the technical process of supply chains;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Strong analytical skills and attention detail;
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Able to multi-task and problem solve;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Continuous improvement mindset;
  • Detail oriented with solid investigative skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals;
  • English (working proficiency), French is an asset.
